Base Liquor(s):
1.5 oz of Gin

Liquer(s):
1 barspoon of Creme de Violette

Other Ingredient(s):
1/2 oz of Lemon juice

Steps:

Stir with ice and strain.
Garnish with a maraschino cherry in the bottom of the glass.

(Note: This drink can be shaken as per any other citrus drink, but it loses the intensity of the purple color.)
